According to Bulawayo 24,  citing ZBC as its source, prophet Emmanuel Makandiwa allegedly flew to the United Kingdom together with his family and close counterparts. Unconfirmed reports say that he fled Zimbabwe.

Some eye-witnesses confirmed seeing Makandiwa boarding a plane at the Harare International Airport.  However, his staunch followers confided that the prophet has gone to meet his spiritual father, who resides overseas.

Some sources say Makandiwa might have fled owing to a number of controversial issues which involve large sums of money as well as his spiritual recharge cards.

Just last week, the Postal and Telecommunications Regulatory Authority of Zimbabwe (POTRAZ) probed the prophet for allegedly operating a cellular phone airtime recharge service illegally.

Makandiwa was supposed to feature in the much publicised ‘Catch the fire’ revival, which is going to be held in Harare from the 15th to the  21st of this month.
