The primary school serves 200 local boys and girls. St. James Mission was founded in 1958 and belongs to the Anglican Church of The Province of Central Africa under the Diocese of Matabeleland.

Earlier this year, Robert Mercer, the fourth Anglican bishop of Matabeleland, who blessed the bell, was ordained a priest for the Personal Ordinariate of Our Lady of Walsingham in the UK. (Photo courtesy of St. James’ Mission and School)
