Award-winning South African gospel musician Sifiso Ncwane will grace Bulawayo on Sunday at a music extravaganza slated for Amazulu Sports Stadium.

Ncwane, who is one of South Africa’s best-selling artists, will share the stage with gospel diva Fungisai Zvakavapano Mashavave, Ncandweni Christ Ambassadors from Swaziland, Amos, Xolani, Mendy and a cappella exponents Conquerors.

The gospel fiesta organised by Mimshack Worshippers, Revival Ministries and X-Mo Squad promises to be a memorable show.

Speaking to RelZim.org, spokesperson of the organizers Nkululeko Nkala said the 10 am show is one of the promoters’ major events this year and they saw it fit to open with the best-selling Ncwane and spice it up with the Makomborero hit-maker Zvakavapano.

“This is the first gospel show for the promoters, so we want it big. We will spice it up with Fungisai and the foreign artistes are eager to share the stage with her,” Nkala said.

Nkala said that the show will give local artistes exposure at the international stage, adding that Bulawayo’s music industry is not dead, but hinges on public support.

Bulawayo has hosted South African gospel musicians in the past which include Sipho Makabane, Joyous Celebration, Keke, Solly Mahlangu and Hlengiwe Mhlaba among other artistes.

Popular Ncandweni gospel ensemble from Swaziland Christ Ambassadors, which is yet to arrive in Bulawayo for the show, will visit the old township of Makokoba and local churches.
