The Kwekwe General Hospital Medical Superintendent, Patricia Mapanda, highlighted an array of challenges faced at the medical institution and conceded that the donation will go a long way in assisting the patients. She also gave credit to local churches, often the major donors.
“From 2005, most of the equipment at the hospital has been donated by the churches. Though at times, the business people donate cash and kind. I encourage others to also give to the underprivileged especially at this time where we are approaching Christmas. The donation will go a long way in helping the patients. ”said Mapanda.
Among the guests that attended the colourful event was the Kwekwe city council Director of Health, Phyllis Gochera, Kwekwe Deputy Mayor, Helena Nkosana, and Pastor Felix Njini.
