Bulawayo pastors on Sunday prayed against escalating cases linked to Satanism at a gathering comprised of hordes of worshipers from different denominations who converged at Amazulu Sports Stadium for a gospel extravaganza.

A few cases of Satanism have been reported in Bulawayo unlike other cities, but the city’s clergy took the opportunity to engage spiritual intervention to cleanse the city of all evil.

Speaking to RelZim before the concert, chief organiser of the event from Mimshack Worshippers, Pastor Abraham Mabuza, said Satanism is rife in Bulawayo and there is need to wipe it out.

“There is a lot of satanism going on, so we invited local pastors to come and pray against this terrible evil. Our main goal is to cast out the devil and live Bulawayo clean.

Performing artiste Amos Mphahlela was the one who provoked the evil spirits and from there they started manifesting begging not to be cast out.

As the concert went on, Pastors in Solidarity prayed against the evil that has troubled the city.

Last year at Nhowe Mission school in Marondera, a high school pupil woke up to find herself soaked in blood in a suspected Satanism case which left Zimbabweans awestruck.
