image005 (1)The Catholic Students Chaplaincy has facilitated a Service and Volunteer Program for university students who are currently on vacation, but have offered their services in different communities.

Twenty (20) students are working voluntarily, driven by the Jesuit adage, in all things to serve and love.”

Some students are assisting at All Souls Mission Children’s Home and Hospital (Mutoko), L’arche Waterfalls (Harare), Chinhoyi Pastoral Centre (Chinhoyi, St Boniface Mission and St Rupert’s Mission (parish and secondary school), in Chinhoyi diocese.

These young men and women have embraced a selfless attitude and committed weeks to create a different but better life for the less privileged.

They live on what the communities they are serving live on, they offer much more than service, but bring the face of Christ to these communities.

This program has been ongoing for two years now and has given over sixty university students the opportunity to venture into communities that are depressed and left them relieved.
