Gospel star Fungisai Zvakavapano Mushavave arrived in London on Wednesday for the UK Gospel Explosion which will see her perform at two weekend shows in London and Leicester.
The “Toita Zvedenga” hit maker attracted a few glances from admiring fans as she landed at Gatwick Airport Wednesday night before being whisked away to a London hotel with her entourage.
Fungisai, who brought her band, will be supported by other UK based gospel artists, among them, Obert Mazivisa, who is famous for his dance floor lighter “Komborerai Mafaro”.
Also performing at the shows is the legendary Zex Manatsa’s son Aaron with his The new Green Arrows as well as rising UK gospel sweetheart Caroline Rumbi.
The first concert is scheduled for Saturday in Leicester at the Holy Trinity Church with the second and last show set for Concord House in Dagenham, London on Sunday.
Promoters said gospel music lovers can expect a family-friendly atmosphere and a night of sweet worship at both shows.
