In the spirit of Christmas, Harvest House International Church (HHI) hosted the Christmas Carol Night on Sunday where various choirs performed in celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ.

The concert began with a powerful praise session by a combination of HHI choirs. These included Hosanna, Harvest Tabernacle Choir, Community Churches Choirs and The Children’s Church.

After the praise session, The Children’s Church staged a Christmas play, portraying the birth of Jesus and its significance to mankind.

The Choir sang Christmas carols such as ‘Joy to the World,’ ‘Come Let Us Adore Him’ and ‘Come They Told Me.’

With only seven days to go before Christmas, Roman Catholic, Anglican, Methodist and Pentecostal churches in Bulawayo are expected to hold special services to commemorate the birth of the Lord Jesus.

On Monday, speaking during the Mayor’s Christmas Cheer Fund presented by Delta Corporation, mayor of Bulawayo Thaba Moyo said, “I would like to wish every resident of Bulawayo a Merry Christmas and a Prosperous 2013. But remember that we should forgive and show love to others, as the Lord loved us.”
