Gospel fans in Bulawayo will get a chance to praise and worship with a renowned gospel band Hillsong Live (HL) from Sydney, Australia this month.

The internationally-acclaimed gospel group is scheduled to perform live at Bulawayo’s Amphitheatre on October 12. This all-night concert will be preceded by a half-day leadership conference.

In a press statement released on their website, HL say that they will be visiting Harare and Bulawayo as part of their African tour. This is their first time touring Africa.

The concert will be led by Pastor Phil Dooley. The Hillsong worship team will include Reuben Morgan, Joel Houston, Ben Fielding, Peter Wilson, and international teams from London, Stockholm and Cape Town.

Gospel lovers who spoke to RelZim.org could not hide their joy. ‘The coming of Hillsong will be a blessing to the people of Bulawayo. Hillsong music changes lives. It is my hope that many people will receive their salvation on this day. As for me, I can’t wait for this all-night [concert] with God,” said Grace Ngwenya of Pumula suburbs.

“This is one of the best worship groups in the world and I can’t mis the opportunity to see them perform live. It is a lifetime opportunity” added delighted Lukie Sebata of the Lutheran City Centre branch.

While Nicole Moyo of City-Wide Family of God Church had this to say, “The coming of Hillsong is going to be a life-changing experience to me as their songs bring healing to the soul.”

Since 1992, Hillsong Live has received gold and platinum album status multiple times, writing such well-known songs as “Shout to the Lord”, “Inside Out and “The Stand.” Earlier this year, Hillsong Live outsold Beyonce and Lady Gaga on Australia’s ARIA Top 50 Album Chart.

The conference is free of charge and open to everyone. Tickets for the concert are available at Shoprite, Nando’s, Chicken Inn and Kingdom Bank at USD 11.
