Zanu PF leader Robert Mugabe Saturday made scathing attacks on South African Archbishop Desmond Tutu over his pro-gay marriage stance.

Addressing thousands of bussed party supporters at White City stadium, Mugabe said Tutu should have married another man to show his support for gays.

“I heard in the papers that Bishop Tutu is saying it is ok to have gay marriages. Iye aine Mukadzi? He should have begun by getting a man for a woman,” Mugabe told thousands of supporters.

‘When the bishop cannot interpret the bible properly, he should resign and leave it to those who can,” Mugabe said to a thunderous applause from the crowd.

Mugabe has been against the proponents of pro-gay movement, having clashed with the Gays and Lesbians Association of Zimbabwe (GALZ).
