Human rights watchdog, the Zimbabwe Lawyers for Human Rights (ZLHR) Monday deployed one of its lawyers Gift Mutisi to offer legal services to Kariba-based Remnant Pentecostal Church Philip Patrick Mugadza.
Mugadza last week said God had revealed to him that President Robert Mugabe will die this year on the 17th of December.
“ZLHR on Monday 16 January 2017 deployed Gift Mtisi to offer emergency legal services to Remnant Pentecostal Church Pastor Philip Patrick Mugadza who has been arrested by ZRP officers,” reads part of the alert
ZLHR said Mugadza is being charged on criminal nuisance in contravention of Section 46 (2) v of the Criminal Law (Codification and Reform) Act.
Pastor Mugadza, who came to national prominence when he was arrested early last year while protesting against President Robert Mugabe at the Zanu PF conference in Victoria Falls, had a 40 day prayer and fasting for the nonegerian leader to go.
