According to The Herald, ZAOGA-FIF Ministries celebrated its 51st anniversary recently. This religious community, led by Archbishop Ezekiel Guti, rehabilitated 29-km road stretching from Gombati to Ngaone in Chipinge West.

According to the report prepared by the Ngaone Development Association (NDA), the road is the life-line for the entire community, and was destroyed in 2000 by Cyclone Eline, which hit and destroyed, among other things, the area’s road infrastructure.

Says the note of gratitude, “People from Ngaone have had to walk to Gombati, a distance of twenty-nine kilometers to receive rations from Christian Care and had to walk the same distance back home carrying bags of grain on their heads.”
