The UK-based Living Waters Pentecostal Fellowship is starting a collection for new or used Bibles in response to a need their minister identified while recently visiting churches in Zimbabwe.
Pastor Tapiwa Kundoro said, “I was recently in Zimbabwe ministering in various places and one of the biggest challenges I found was that as many as 32 people were sharing two bibles in some of the churches I visited. The Lord put it upon my heart that I should gather as many bibles as I can and send them to Zimbabwe.”
Churches, organisations and individuals are encouraged to donate new or used Bibles for the benefit of other Christians in Zimbabwe.
Pastor Kundoro is originally from Zimbabwe and has worked extensively in the country planting churches and speaking at conferences. The Living Waters Pentecostal Fellowship is passionate about their links with the country and serving the people there.
Pastor Kundoro said: “If all goes well we are hoping to go back to Zimbabwe in October 2013 for two weeks with a team to go and minister. We are looking for people who want to go with us to show an expression of interest. We will coordinate everything and people have to just pay for flights and meals.”
