Zanu-PF Mhondoro-Ngezi Member of Parliament, Bright Matonga, is partnering with various church leaders in his constituency preaching the gospel of peace ahead of elections likely to be held next year.

“Basically the meeting was meant to encourage communities not to fight. We are preaching the message of peace and sensitizing communities that we are one people. It was also meant to make people aware that they are supposed to work together despite their political and religious affiliations,” Matonga said.

Matonga said people should develop a culture of tolerance. “People should tolerate each other not to judge each other because of politics or because of which church one goes to. Whether one goes to Roman Catholic, Apostolic Faith, and Baptist we are all one. There is no religion that is better than the other religion. We are also teaching people different developmental projects. We are encouraging people to venture into agriculture so that they are able to feed themselves whenever they have gatherings,” Matonga said.
