Ex-communicated Anglican Bishop Nolbert Kunonga says he joined politics because of the emergence of the MDC as a political party in 1999.

In an interview Kunonga said he would not have taken the stance he took were it not because the MDC was threatening to “hand over land back to the whites.”

“Prior to [the emergence of] MDC you would never have heard of me being in politics. In all my 42 years as a priest, I never heard of what the MDC is saying,” said Kunonga.

Kunonga also accuses the MDC of being a foreign-sponsored party.

The controversial preacher (who is also on the international  sanctions list) now claims that he is a prophet who cannot stand aside when things are being “messed around.”
