The National Insurance Company of Zimbabwe Diamond has launched Christian Sure, a comprehensive insurance package designed for the Christian community in Zimbabwe.
Launching the new product in Bulawayo last week, Nicoz Diamond Marketing Manager and Head of Public Relations, Odeline Kava, said the vision of her company was to use some of the resources generated by the Christian community to sow in the Kingdom of God. “Our business concept is built on biblical sowing and reaping principles. As Christians, just like any other group in society, we have been using these insurance products for years to protect our private as well as our business properties,” said Kava. “However what we have not been doing is to use this hard-earned resource to further the Kingdom of God. Christian Sure allows Christians to do just that because, whilst protecting their valued properties, they will also be sowing a seed in the Kingdom of God,” she added.
Christian Sure, the first service of its kind in Zimbabwe, is providing cover for church assets such as buildings, motor vehicles, office machines, goods in transit, money and theft or burglary of property. They are also covering for the assembly and congregation for household goods, motor vehicles, private houses and personal effects. Church members in business are also insured for buildings and machinery, motor vehicles, stocks and raw materials, office machines, public liability cover and Director’s liability.
Representatives of the churches-related organizations who were present at the launch, including Roman Catholics, Pentecostals and the Seventh-Day Adventists, welcomed the initiative saying it would benefit their institutions in the long run. “At least with such a scheme we can fully concentrate on serving God, knowing that the financial end is well taken care of,” said Pastor Thabo Nyoni from Victory Fellowship.
